This Is An Unbelievable Piece Of Equipment!
Big Weekend, So I Rented A Truck!
This Is What The Deck Downspout Looked Like Before I Started.
The Water Had A Difficult Time Going Thru The Flexible Tube & Over The Edging.
This Was The Easiest Of All The Trenches, Except ...
... Oops, The Phone Company Forgot To Mark This Area. I Called Before Digging But They Didn't Mark The ENTIRE Yard As Requested.
Shortly After, I Put The 900 lb Trencher In The Outflow For The Storm Sewer - A Religious Experience (Sorry God). I Was Able To Get It Out - Barely!
Nice Trench Running Across The Yard & Into The Woods (Plan B After Putting The Trencher In The Storm Drain).
The Phone Company Came The Next Day To Fix The Break, But Anita's Business Line Didn't Work. They Sent Another Repairman.
After Finishing The Trench I Laid The Pipe Out Before Putting It Into The Ground.
Then I Filled The Trench w/ Soil.
I'll Top Off The Trench In The Spring w/ Top Soil & Plant Grass Seed.
This Is The Downspout In The Garden - Same Issue w/ The Edging.
I Had To Move The Plants Before Trenching.
Nice Job - Hope The Angle Is Correct!
And Away It Goes Into The Woods.
There Was LOTS Of Clay In The Garden - Tough To Fill!
They Didn't Have White Pipe For Use Above Gound.
The First Of The Mole Barrier Was Placed Around The Garden Downspout.
The Downspout By The Tree Suffers From The Same Issue As The Others.
I Had Lots Of Plants To Move To Get The Trencher Into Position.
Plant Movement In Process.
My Angle Was Poor On This Trench. My Neighbor Dan Helped Friday Night To Dig It Out & Bend (With A Torch) It Into Place - Thanx!
Down & Out Into The Woods.
The Downspout Is Also By The Outflow For The Sump Pump.
I'm Going To Need A Fancy Solution Here.
This Unit Took Some Time To Build & It Was Hard To Get The Entire Thing Parallel w/ The House.
Dual Trenches. I Was Going To "Y" Them Together But Thought The Sump Pump Outflow Needed To Be Protected.
LOTS Of Clay That Had To Be Hauled Away To The Creek In The Woods.
The Dirt Settled A Bit w/ The Rain.
See The Roll Of Aluminum Flashing In The Trench - A Little Too Tall. I Wanted To Take The Trench To The Sidewalk But Too Many Utilities In The Way.
Here's The Other Side Of The Property - Too Many Roots To Go All The Way To The Sidewalk.
Making Slow Progress Over The Weeks. I Can Do About 50 Plus Feet At A Time.
The Trencher Struggled @ Times w/ The Roots.
The Rear Of The Property Was In Desperate Need Of The Mole Barrier.
This Trench Was Almost Filled With Water When I Inserted The Flashing - It Slipped Right In. Made It Tough To Pack The Dirt Into The Trench.
I Wasn't Able To Do The Entire Rear Property Line Due To Time Limitations.
This Is The Location For Anita's Climbing Foliage
I Set The Posts w/ Quick Drying Cement.
I Think We're Going To Add Another Piece To The Back Of The Posts To Double The Area.
I Had To Cover All The Mole Barrier Trenches To Leave For A Business Trip To Florida.
Here It Is, The Final (Yah Right) Chapter In The Trenching Saga. I Finally Got All The Trenches Filled.
The Dirt Was Piled On The Lawn So Long It Killed The Grass. I'll Seed The Lawn In The Spring After I Add Top Soil To Fill In After It Settles.
The Stick Marks My Progress - Still Got More Trenching To Do To Complete The Mole Barrier!
