We Had a WONDERFUL Time in Lake Tahoe After Thanksgiving. Emerald Bay in the Background. We Left Cincinnati the Day After Thanksgiving, Spent the Night in Columbus & Flew To Reno. We Rented a Car in Reno & Drove to Tahoe. We Stayed @ The Wyndham Resort in Zephyr Cove. We Had Beautiful Weather for the Entire Week, But No Snow! We Stayed in Unit 8303 - a 2 BR Presidential Suite (I Prefer the Presidential in Vegas). Our Unit Was Roomy, With... ... A Full Kitchen And... ... Dining Room. Plenty of Space For The Two of Us. We Made Extensive Use of the Gas Fireplace And Watched a Bunch of Movies. We Even Took a Few Naps on the Couch! The Master Bedroom Was Comfortable, And... ... We Used The Spare Bedroom for Storage. We Had Our Own Deck w/ a Grill. Here's Our View to the Left, Then... ... Directly Behind Us, Followed By... ... The Right, And... ... The Far Right. That's a Hot Tub in the Building - We Never Made The Trek! The Weather Was Beautiful For Our Entire Visit! The Air Is So Crisp & Clean. Anita Is Pleased To Be Relaxing Together! The Rest of Our 2009 Trips Included Others, This Was OUR Trip! The Complex is Situated in the Woods. They Cautioned Us Against Feeding the Bears (Bear Photo Coming Later). The Woods Look Healthy Because They've Been Removing Unnecessary Brush to Reduce the Fire Hazard. On Sunday We Ate on the 18th Floor of Harrah's Casino at the Friday's Station Restaurant... ... Beautiful Sunset! On Monday We Drove Around The Lake. We Stopped to Investigate Zephyr Cove. Are You Sure We Left Cincinnati? The River Boat Does Tours of the Lake. We Decided Later in the Week to Tour The Lake via an Upgraded Option. We Encountered a Few Hungry Friends at the Beach. The Water is Crystal Clear - You Can See 75 ft or More! Anita Wanted a Photo w/ The Ducks. Snow on the Beach - Ever Seen That Before? A Very Beautiful Day. Ah, The Sun Feels Nice. We Continued Driving North Along The Eastern Shore of the Lake - Stopping @ Memorial Point (Yellow Arrow). It Was a Beautiful Spot. This is the Peak Behind Us. These Boulders Were Spectacular, And... ... The Sun Felt Good. The Shoreline Here Was Littered With... ... Large, Unique Boulders. We Took LOTS of Photos. It's Such a Peaceful Place. It's Hard to Beat The Serenity. My Mountain Climber Stopped For... ... A Close-Up. This Is Where We're Heading. The Beauty is Awesome. What a Wonderful Experience. Off We Go To... ... The Lone Eagle @ the Hyatt in Incline Village for a Break. We Relaxed in the Sun, Then... ... Relaxed Outside. But First, We Explored The Area. The Beach Looks Nice. I'm Sure It's Packed in the Summer (Although The Water Temp Never Gets Above 68F). The Boats Are Probably Rafted 3 Deep @ The Dock. Ahh, Time For Another Break. I Second That Motion. The Lake Was Much Shallower on the Western Shore. The Sun Was Setting, And... ... I Stopped Quickly For Some Photos, Because... ... We Wanted to Visit Emerald Bay! Emerald Bay is the 2nd Most Photographed Location in America (After the Grand Canyon). We Came Back The Next Day - Here's The Same Photo During Daylight Hours! The Sun Sets To The Left. Here's The Similar Photo The Next Day. It Really is Almost a Spiritual Experience. The Beauty, The View, The Scale. The Island Has a Little... ... Tea House Built on the Summit. The Air is Clean & Crisp, And... ... As You Can See The Visibility is Fabulous. We Can't Wait To Return in February. We Found Someone Willing to Snap a Photo. It Was Cool in the Shade. I Stopped on the Road (Illegially) for a Few More Photos. This May Be The Best Angle Of The Bay, And... ... The Mountains Seem To Be Right On Top Of You. Here's a Good One - Contrast of the Snow And The Blue Water. Full Zoom. The Island Is Quite Large, But... ... It Appears Small Given The Scale of The View. We Drove Over To The Lookout on the Other Side of the Bay. It Looks So Pristine! We Could Hear Eagle's Falls But We Had a Hard Time Seeing It. I Think This is My Favorite! If The Tree Was Taller There Would Be A Bald Eagle Nest In It. Great Experience! We Found Someone Else To Take a Photo. Here's My True Favorite! The Sun Felt Really Good. Anita Looks Snuggly in Her Warm Coat. My Turn! What a Great Experience - Can You See The Boat Coming Into The Bay? Here It Is - We Decided to Take The Yacht Tour Later in the Week. Here's a Nice Photo of The West End of the Bay. On Thursday We Visited Cave Rock. The Road Tunnels Through It As Well. The Lake Was Very Calm, And... ... The Sun Danced Across The Surface. Anita Enjoyed The Beauty, And... ... So Did I! We Relaxed on a Park Bench Taking in the View. I Thought This Was An Interesting Photo. Back To The Car - The Camry In The Foreground. Our 3 Hr Tour of the Lake Was Rescheduled for Friday. The Water Was Calm & The Skies Were Blue. We're In For a Wonderful Trip. We Headed West Across the Lake to Emerald Bay. The View From The Water Put The Scenery Into Perspective. We Enjoyed Lunch on the Yacht. This is The Entrance to Emerald Bay. The Clouds Were Spectacular. Imagine Discovering This For the First Time! I Wonder How Often She Loaded Up The Boat For Tea on the Island? The Tea Room Was Burned By Vandals Years Ago, But... ... The Stone Structure Remains. We Were Able to Get Close to the Island As It Dropped Quickly to Depth. Quite a View From the Island. A GREAT Spot For a Relaxing Tea. The Bay Is Large. Time For Another Photo Together, Then... ...
