Before Yuck
This is Actually AFTER the Hill Had Been Cleaned Up a BUNCH!
Before Left
The before images do not do the final project justice.
Before Right
These were taken after the overgrown landscaping fabric was removed and the weeds were removed from the left side of the hill.
Designer
My friend Reuben Blair created the layout (with Anita's approval of course).
Designer Gratitude
Reuben even donated some of the plants.
Final Mulching
Anita and I added 4 yards of triple shredded mulch to complete the mulching and add to the previous 2 yards Reuben and I put down.
Hot Day
It was a scorcher for working outside, the sweat rag was necessary to keep it our of my eyes.
U-Haul
We rented a U-Haul pickup so we could reduce the travel time with the mulch.
Stepping Stones
The stepping stones at the bottom were Reuben's idea.
Edging
After finishing the mulch on the hill I completed the edging as a barrier to keep the mulch at the top of the hill from migrating down.
Top Stones
The stepping stones at the top were Anita's idea to place the sprinkler for watering the ground cover.
Top Edging
Anita selected the exterior edging, adds a professional touch.
Ground Cover
I've tried a bunch of things over the years to cover this hill, Reuben claims these guys will fit the bill.
Pathway
I got creative with the entrance to the path. More to come to provide a barrier with the grass.
